Getting Started
Thank you for downloading eSilo's Cyber Protect software, this software can provide your computer with a variety of features, including backup and automated ransomware prevention and recovery and anti-malware security, to protect your data and prevent interruptions to your work.
Before proceeding with the installation, please log in to your account at
console.esilo.com to verify you have access, you will need access to your account during the installation to link your computer to your eSilo account.

If you are unable to access your account, or you do not have an account, please check your email inbox for an activation email or contact us at
support@esilo.com for additional assistance.
Installing eSilo Cyber Protect
To get started with the installation, open the downloaded file. Your web browser may show a completed download popup or you may find it in your computer's Downloads folder.
When the installer opens you'll see a welcome screen with an "Install" button and additional options, unless directed otherwise by eSilo staff or your service provider, you can simply click "Install" to continue.
After clicking "Install", please wait for the installation to finish.

It is not unusual for the installation to appear stuck for a brief time near the end as this is when the installer is configuring services on your computer and this can sometimes take longer depending on your computer's performance. Unless the installer gives an error message, assume it is still working.
Register Your Computer
When the installation is completed you will be prompted to register your computer, which will link your computer to your account on the eSilo Cyber Protect Console and allow you and eSilo staff to manage the backup and security settings. Click "Register workload" to continue.

If you are accessing the computer remotely or want to avoid signing in to your account on the website using this computer, you can click "Show registration info" to view and copy the registration link and code to register the installation using a different computer.
This will open the website in your default web browser, you will be prompted to log in to your eSilo account.

If you previously logged in at the start of this article, you may not be prompted to log in again.
If you do not know your email or username to log in with, please check for an activation email or contact
support@esilo.com for additional assistance.
You should see a popup after logging in which will be prefilled with the registration code, you may need to select your account from the "Select Account" drop down menu.

If you do not see the "Register workload" popup after logging in, click "Devices" on the left sidebar, then click "Add" in the top right corner, then scroll down the right-side menu and click "Register".
Then back in the installer, click "Show registration info" to view the registration code. Enter the code into the "Registration code" field in the popup and then select your account from the "Select account" drop down menu.
Then click "Validate Code"
If you entered a valid code, you'll see the computer's name shown and a notice that the registration code is valid.
Click "Register" to complete the registration process.

You'll see a small popup in the lower right corner indicating the device is being registered. You'll see it added to your "Devices" list once the registration process completes.
This process may take a few minutes depending on your computer's performance and internet speed.
Back in the installer you can close the "Registration info" popup if needed and then you'll see a "Success" message once the registration is completed. You may then close the installer using the "X" in the top right, or the "Close" button.

If you closed the installer before seeing the success message, but you still see it in the "Devices" list on the eSilo Cyber Protect Console, then it was registered successfully.

If you did not complete the registration process before the registration link expired, or otherwise closed the installer before completing the registration, you can run the installer again and follow the above instructions to register the computer after clicking "Register workload".
